International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church

Today marks the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Each year, an estimated 160,000 Christians worldwide are killed because they follow Jesus -- that's about one person every three minutes. My church is hosting a special prayer service tonight at 5:30 pm at Freestone Park if anyone is in the Gilbert, AZ area. If you're not participating in a special group time of prayer, or don't really know much about persecuted Christians, take some time today to find out more about the stories of the Christians who don't enjoy the same freedom we have here in the United States.
